Spring Miniatures: Building the Martin’s Market Stall Dollhouse in My Spare Time
There’s something magical about starting a new project in spring. As the days get longer and everything starts to bloom, it feels like the perfect time to create something small, cozy, and full of charm. Most importantly, it is the perfect time to finish a project that you started last year 😊
This season, I’ve been slowly working on the Martin’s Market Stall dollhouse kit by Houseworks — available at Michaels Crafts
Martin’s Market Stall is just one room, but that’s what makes it such a great starter or seasonal build. It’s manageable — something I can pick up in the evenings or on weekends — and it still gives that satisfying feeling of progress. Right now, I’m experimenting with finishes on the exterior (hello, 3d printed siding), and sketching ideas for what the little market will sell. Maybe flowers? Maybe books? Probably little art?
🌸 The Joy of Slow Crafting
There’s no rush — and that’s the best part. Miniatures are a way to slow down and enjoy creating something just for the sake of joy. I love sharing these behind-the-scenes peeks with my followers on Pinterest, because it makes the process feel more personal and connected. Each build is a story, and this market stall is my spring chapter.
